There are lots of different ways that you can support GlamSci in our fundraising efforts. You can make a donation, attend one of our events or hold your own fundraising event or get sponsored to take on a challenge.

Volunteering and Work Experience
GlamSci is made up exclusively of volunteers who’s help allows us to reach young people’s lives over the country. From our ‘Glam Scientists’ who host events in their local areas, to the administrative team that helps with the day-to-day running of our organisation, our GlamSci volunteers form a vital part of our charity.
GlamSci is always looking to recruit some of the most passionate and dynamic STEM professionals, students and corporate members, to volunteer with us. From part-time members, to STEM hobbyists, your expertise will help those struggling to inspire the next generation of STEM professionals.
GlamSci also offers work experience roles within our organisation, for those passionate about STEM communication and education. These short-term posts allow young people to get a taste of the work we do, as well as one on one mentoring with a STEM professional, careers development, including CV help, and UCAS and options support.
GlamSci Volunteer Roles
Glam Scientists (Public Engagement Volunteer)
Our most popular positions, work on you or as part of a team, delivering everything from hands-on demonstrations to engaging talks. As a volunteer with GlamSci we will train you in everything from delivering various workshops, to lesson planning and delivery with our GlamSci engagement course, run at various locations across the UK. CRB checks will be covered by ourselves, as well as any travel expenses and material expenses it would cost our volunteers to put on events. Engagement works on a voluntary rota and allows you to be as flexible as you like.
GlamBlog Bloggers
Don't have enough time to put on an event but keen to get your interest in STEM out there for people to learn about? Come and be a blogger for our award winning GlamSci Blog, the 'GlamBlog'. Come and write about your STEM passions and journey through STEM education and help inspire our readers to follow in your footsteps
Business Volunteers
Not STEM minded but would still like to help? Then support GlamSci with it's day to day business running, from event marketing, finances and more. Whether you are looking for a voluntary position for work experience, a hobby outside of work or retirement, or would just like to try something new. GlamSci would greatly appreciate voluntary skills in charity business. These roles follow briefing in both Data Protection and Non-Disclosure Agreements.
Social Media Volunteers
Tight on Twitter or Idolise Instagram? Want to help a charity make it's mark on the Hashtagging scene? Then come and donate some of your time to manage GlamSci's Social Media presence. As well as giving you essential digital media content skills, you will be paving the way for disadvantaged young people to come and discover GlamSci and what STEM can offer them. Working on a flexible basis to fit around your other work or study commitments.
