What GlamSci Looks like for Students

The process varies from where the student starts from and the age of the student, but the main process remains the same.

GlamSci also works in educational research and is willing to collaborate on educational techniques and policies for:

Motivational Talks

£100 + travel  — Deposit of £25 required to book an event. Range of topics covered, confidence building sessions included. Discounts apply to schools and colleges only. Subject to timing and travel. 

Activity and Demonstration Days

Variable costs — Deposit of £25 required to book an event. Costs depend on materials, breakages, spillages and travel. A bespoke lesson plan is drawn up and reviewed personally with tutors, if suitable, GlamSci will deliver planned session. Great flexibility, sessions designed to fit in with current ideas and curriculum.  If lab equipment is available costs will be lower. Bookable for half and full days, as well as STEM Days/Weeks.

INSET Training and CPD Events

Variable costs + £10/hour —  Deposit of £50 required to book an event. Costs vary depending on length of sessions, any experiments preformed and travel. Suitable for INSET training, as well as staff development days. Interesting addition for non-educational institutes, transferrable skills are taught, including leadership, team-management and confidence building. 

Bespoke UCAS Services

Variable costs — Deposit of £25 required to book an event. UCAS talks optional. Part of package of career development, includes, mock interviews, career planning, UCAS personal statement checking and CV checking. Can be booked by parents, schools and individuals. 

Study Clubs

Variable Costs  — Deposit of £25 required to book an event. Costs depend on materials, breakages, spillages and travel. A bespoke  plan of sessions is drawn up and reviewed personally, if suitable, GlamSci will deliver planned sessions over  a set time scale. Great flexibility, sessions designed to fit in with current ideas and curriculum.  If lab equipment available costs will be lower. Bookable for morning clubs, lunchtime clubs and after school clubs, libraries and community centres.

Fun Days, Festivals and Community Events

Variable costs — Deposit of £25 required to book an event. Costs depend on materials, breakages, spillages and travel. A bespoke plan is drawn up and reviewed with organisers, if suitable, GlamSci will deliver sessions required throughout the day. Great flexibility, sessions designed to fit in with current ideas, themes and  curriculum.  Bookable for half and full days, as well as STEM Days/Weeks.

International Events

Online Sessions variable costs — Deposit of £25 required to book an event. Costs vary depending on length of session and experiments required and the use of a translator. A bespoke plan is drawn up and reviewed with tutor, if suitable, GlamSci will deliver sessions via skype or other suitable online room. Great flexibility, sessions designed to fit in with current ideas, themes and  curriculum.  Bookable for half and one off sessions.

Face-to-Face variable costs — Deposit of £100 required to book an event. Costs depends on materials, travel, accommodation, food and the use of a translator. A bespoke lesson plan is drawn up and reviewed with tutors, if suitable, GlamSci will deliver sessions over the course of the booking. Great flexibility, sessions designed to fit in with current ideas, themes and  curriculum.  Bookable for STEM Days/Weeks.

Birthday Parties

Variable costs + £10/hour  — Deposit of £50  required to book an event. Costs depend on materials, breakages, spillages and travel. A bespoke plan is drawn up and reviewed with organisers, if suitable, GlamSci will deliver sessions required throughout the day. Great flexibility, sessions designed to fit any party themes, such as space, animals and so on.  Party bags available if required.
